Polish-Ukrainian Partnership Forum.

Polish-Ukrainian relations were the subject of the meeting. At the beginning of the event, Rector Igor Tsependa pointed the importance of relations between Ukraine and Poland.

According to Vitaly Portnikov, the chairman of the Ukrainian part of the Polish-Ukrainian Partnership Forum, Ukraine and Poland need each other because of being the part of a common civilization space, common history and culture, and a similar history of fighting with the imperial ambitions of its neighbors.

Jan Malicki, the chairman of the Polish part of the Forum, drew the attention of the participants to the common historical past of Poland and Ukraine. According to Jan Malicki, controversial historical issues require the special attention from the scientific community. In this context, he underlined the main objectives of the Partnership Forum, which is to discuss the sensitive issues of Ukrainian-Polish relations at and emphasised the importance of scientific discussion of current problems and the need to find common solutions.
