2nd conference of the Polish-Georgian Historians’ Commission

On April 24-25, 2018 in Tbilisi, the 9th Promethean Conference took place. The conference was organized by Centre For East European Studies and the Central Historical Archive in Tbilisi in cooperation with the Polish Institute Of National Remembrance , Warsaw and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tbilisi.

The opening of the conference was preceded by the deliberations of the Polish-Georgian Historical Commission, headed by Dr. David Kolbaia. The deliberations took place at the University of Tbilisi.

During the two-day symposium gave their speeches the most prominent researchers of the promethean movement and the history of Polish-Georgian relations:

During the first day of the conference, the latest issue of the magazine „Pro Georgia. Journal for Kartvelological Studies” was presented by it`s editor-in-chief, dr David Kolbaia.

During the second day of the conference, in addition to excellent presentations by Polish and Georgian speakers, Chairperson of the Parliatment of Georgia Irakli Kobachidze, ambassador Mariusz Maszkiewicz and director Jan Malicki opened an exhibition „Georgian contract officers in the Polish Army” by dr David Kolbaia.
