80th anniversary of the University of Warsaw`s Astronomical-Meteorological Observatory

On 28-29 July 2018 in Verkhovyna (Ukraine) representatives of education, politics and business met on the occasion of the 80th anniversary oof the University of Warsaw`s Astronomical-Meteorological Observatory on the Pop Iwan mountain in Czarnohora. The ceremony was organized by Centre for East European Studies and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
On July 28, an international popular science conference dedicated to the history of the Observatory was held. 
On July 29, exactly 80 years after the official opening of the Observatory, participants of the ceremony visited it`s building. The ceremony was attended by minister Jerzy Kwieciński, rectors Marcin Pałys and Ihor Cependa, former minister Jakub Skiba as well as consuls, diplomats and representatives of the world of science.
