Meeting of the LANE KIRKLAND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM holders

On January 30 – February 1, 2018, an annual meeting of the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program holsers took place in Warsaw.

On the first day of the meeting, the participants visited the Polish-American Freedom Foundation (PAFF), where they got acquainted with the programs organized by the Foundation. Participants received the Kirkland Research diplomas. The day ended with a supper organized at the headquarters of the Foundation.
The second day of the meeting was opened by speeches delivered by Agata Wierzbowska-Miazga from the Leaders of Change foundation, Rector of the University of Warsaw Maciej Duszczyk and the Director of SEW, Jan Malicki. Then, scholarship holders visited the Parliament of the Republic of Poland, where they met with the marshal Ryszard Terlecki. After the meeting, the participants went to the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they met with the director Artur Michalski took place. The second day of the congress ended with an act „Miny Polskie” in Teatr Polski.
During the last congress, the participants visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum. Afterwards, they went to the National Bank of Poland, where they took part in the lecture of dr. Andrzej Raczko – Advisors to the President of the National Bank of Poland. The day ended with a visit to the Center of Money at the National Bank of Poland.
