Warsaw East European Conference – day 4
The fourth day of the conference included the last 3 sessions. It was the time of conclusions and summaries.
The 3 sessions took place:
- Natural resources as a policy tool
- Religion, Identity and Politics
- Belarus between East and West 2
The conference`s last day was honoured by a lecture of the former Ambassador of the United States to Poland, Daniel Fried. The Ambassador, before giving his lecture, took part in the session „Religion, identity and Politics” held under the chairmanship of prof. Jane Curry.
Ambassador`s lecture was preceded by the speech of Centre`s for East European Studies Director Jan Malicki and the Director of Warsaw East European Conference, John S. Micgiel.
The visit pf Ambassador Fried gathered a wide audience that came to the closing ceremony. The lecture „Defending the free world” was enthusiastically received by the audience, and the discussion that he started at the aula after the ceremony has moved to the lobby.
