Exactly 30 years ago, the Centre for East European Studies was established. Three decades of research, conferences, publishing works and, above all, academic education at the highest level are at the same time a continuation of the almost 100-year tradition of Polish Sovietology.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary in a virtual way. On 4-5 December 2020, the Centre for East European Studies organized a large, international conference, which was entirely held via internet connectivity.

The title of the conference – 90th anniversary of Polish eastern research – past, present, future referred to the Polish sovietology initiated a century ago. During two days, were held 7 debates and 5 book presentations.
