Conference dedicated to the memory of Jerzy Giedroyc
On September 14, 2020, on the twentieth anniversary of his death, a conference dedicated to Jerzy Giedroyc was held. The conference was held simultaneously in Warsaw, Kiev, Vilnius, Minsk and Maisons-Laffitte – places that were important to Giedroyc’s life and work
A special event of extremely significant importance was the transfer to the Centre for East European Studies of the posthumous mask of Jerzy Giedroyc, by Paweł Jocz, from the collection of prof. Andrzej Strumiłło. The ceremony was held in the building of the former BUW, under the plaque dedicated to Jerzy Giedroyc.
